Google has previously announced that its Chrome browser will only support Windows 7 until July 15, 2021, after which it will be phased out.

However, Google has announced that it will extend this support period by an additional six months after its due date, that is, until January 15, 2022.

According to Google, about 22% of the world’s companies are yet to upgrade to Windows 10, especially since the COVID-19 epidemic this year has made it difficult for many companies to make the move.

They point out that Windows 7 users will be able to experience new features for Chrome without having to upgrade to Windows 10 for an additional 6 months, until 2022, without compromising the security of their computer systems.
