Hyperloop has completed the first passenger journey on a levitation pod system.
At the Las Vegas test site, Virgin Hyperloop executive Josh Giegel and Passenger Experience Director Sara Luchian say it reached a speed of 172kmh.
It takes about 30 minutes to travel from New York to Washington with a hyperloop system made by magnetic levitation to travel silently.
That speed is twice as fast as a jet and four times faster than a high-speed train. The company says it is ready to ensure safety for commercial operations by 2025 and 2030.
